H2O - Canadian 16'6" - GWN
A flatwater tripping canoe rooted in genuine Canadian heritage, the H2O Canadian 16'6" Great White North delivers the classic lines and capable hull of the Canadian series in a moderately lightweight, durably built construction that represents excellent value for paddlers who spend real time on the water.
The Canadian 16'6" hull is well established as a reliable, user-friendly tripper. Its symmetrical design, shallow arch bottom, and shoe keel combine efficiency with stability in a way that rewards paddlers of all experience levels. Sharp entry lines and a lower sheer profile help the canoe cut through wind and cover open water with less effort, while the shoe keel keeps you tracking straight on long flatwater crossings without sacrificing too much in terms of manoeuvrability.
The Great White North layup brings that hull to life in a construction that balances weight, durability, and price sensibly. The hull is laminated with either Fiberglass/Kevlar or Innegra/Basalt with Kevlar around a rigid reinforcement system, using high-grade marine vinyl ester resin throughout. Closed cell foam core in the hull base combined with Kevlar ribs adds rigidity and longevity. Standard finishes include aluminium gunwales in black or silver anodized finish, varnished ash yoke, webbed contoured seats, ABS end decks, flotation chambers, and stainless steel hardware. Optional upgrades include two-tone exterior colour, Kevlar skid plates, wood gunwales, and more.
