For paddlers who operate at the sharp end of whitewater and swift water rescue, a PFD needs to do more than keep you afloat. The NRS Vector is built for those who need their vest to perform as a genuine rescue tool.

Evolving from the legacy of the NRS Zen and the popular Ninja, the Vector is a fully featured Type V rescue vest centred around the Orbit Fit System. Precisely cut pieces of lightweight closed-cell foam form a pre-curved, flexible shape that conforms to your body and moves with you through aggressive paddling and rescue scenarios. Wrap-around foam panels with AirMesh lining and wide padded straps add protection and comfort across long days on the river and extended hike-ins. Graded Sizing ensures appropriate flotation for individual body types, and a silicone-coated inner waistband keeps the vest in place during a swim.

The rescue feature set is comprehensive and deliberately designed. A 1.5" quick-release rescue belt with an aluminium attachment ring is strategically positioned to reduce snag risk, and continuous interconnected internal webbing creates a full harness for live bait scenarios and shoulder strap grabs. Two easy-release carabiner attachment points accommodate cowtail rescue systems, and strap garages with a deliberately placed lash tab minimise snag points throughout. A compartmentalised drop-down clamshell pocket organises essential on-person gear, a dual-entry zippered pocket retrieves a flip line or skull cap quickly, and a hand warmer pocket with 4-way stretch lining doubles as fast storage for webbing or gloves. Sustainable construction throughout uses recycled ripstop nylon, recycled nylon inner, and PVC-free Ethafoam shims.
