The fifth-generation Free Technology integrates the power cord directly into the headband, removing the external cables that bounce, snag, and distract during a run. At 55 grams without the battery, the unit is exceptionally light, and the balance between the front lamp and rear battery case keeps everything centred and stable through tempo runs and technical trail alike. The soft headband with its silicone inner grip stays in place without pressure points, and the flat textile cord lies flush without tangling.

The included 1.15Ah Hybrid Battery charges via USB and features its own battery indicator so you can track charge level independently. The Hybrid Battery Case accepts the rechargeable pack for regular training and switches to 3x AAA batteries as a backup when you're away from power, which is a genuinely useful failsafe on longer trips or remote Canadian trails. The case mounts on the rear headband or connects via the included extension cord for pocket carry in cold conditions. A built-in red rear safety light rounds out the package.
