The Astral Layla is built from the ground up for women who paddle seriously. Hinged princess seams and sculpted chest cups create a contoured fit that eliminates the bulk and ride-up that plague generic unisex designs. The side-entry 3/4 zip makes getting in and out straightforward, and once it's on, it stays out of your way whether you're rolling a kayak, running a rapid, or grinding out kilometres on a flatwater tour.

Flotation comes from a blend of organic Kapok, PVC-free Gaia foam, and polyethylene foam, delivering 16.3 lbs of buoyancy in a package that feels softer and more flexible than traditional foam PFDs. That combination of materials moves with you rather than against you, which matters a lot on long days on the water. The 420 x 220 denier nylon ripstop shell and YKK auto-locking Vislon hardware are built to last through seasons of hard use.

The large front pocket with interior compartments keeps snacks, a compass, or small safety gear organised and accessible, and the quick-access knife tab is a thoughtful addition for touring and whitewater paddlers alike.
