Leaving a kayak or canoe unattended in a parking lot or at a public launch is always a calculated risk, and even a basic cable lock is enough to make an opportunistic theft significantly more difficult.

The Malone Lariat Universal Cable Lock is a two-piece stranded steel cable system with a poly-coated outer sleeve that threads through and around touring, recreational, and tandem kayaks as well as most canoes, securing the boat to a rack, trailer, or fixed object with a key lock mechanism. At 70" in length and 3/8" in diameter, each cable has enough reach to work with most boat and rack combinations, and hook and loop straps keep the cables neatly rolled when not in use so they're not tangling in your gear bag between trips. Two keys are included.

A practical layer of security for busy trailheads, campsite parking areas, and public launches across Canada where boats left unattended attract unwanted attention.
