Thermarest - NeoAir XTherm NXT MAX Sleeping Pad

Thermarest - NeoAir XTherm NXT MAX Sleeping Pad

When the expedition pushes into genuinely cold territory, whether that's a late-season canoe route in northern Ontario, a ski traverse, or a high-altitude mountaineering objective, the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm NXT MAX is the sleeping pad that doesn't ask you to compromise.

The 7.3 R-value is the headline, and it's earned through the combination of Triangular Core Matrix construction and ThermaCapture technology, which reflects radiated body heat back toward you while minimising heat loss through the pad. That warmth-to-weight ratio, a 7.3 R-value at 680g in the Large size, is the best ever achieved in a rectangular sleeping pad. It's also warmer and thicker than its predecessor, coming in at 3 inches (7.6 cm) with horizontal baffles and a full rectangular sleep surface that gives you room to move through a long cold night.

Durability matches the performance. The bottom is 70D nylon built to handle rough tent floors, rocky ledges, and the general abuse of extended expedition use, while 30D ripstop nylon on top keeps the overall weight in check. The WingLock valve is designed to be used with gloves on, a small but critical detail when temperatures are serious and dexterity is limited. Packs down small despite its capabilities, and comes ready to go with a pump sack, stuff sack, and field repair kit.
